Called in a last minute order because we were in the mood for a good chicken sandwich. First time trying this place and definitely won’t be the last. Great chicken sandwich, but the tenders were the best we have ever had. Huge size and absolutely delicious. Homemade bbq sauce was also great. Very friendly service coupled with awesome food!
GO HERE NOW! Seriously. We had Chicken Sandwich and a double burger and both were delicious. The chicken was BY FAR the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Pure white meat cooked to perfection juicy and the breading was crunchy but not too crunchy. The sauce was the hot sauce which had a warmth but didn’t crush the flavors. It was divine. Buns were super soft and toasted. Owner was working and you knew he takes great pride in the quality of food and overall customer experience. Absolutely LOVED this place and will definitely be coming back and telling everyone. Go go go!
I ordered the Chicago fried chicken sandwich with no tomatoes, no pickles, and no lettuce.
So you may be wondering what I think about my plain order—
I am completely blown away. This is the first time a chicken sandwich made me want to spread the word as fast as possible. And being able to dip the sandwich in the included sauces just brings that extra flavor in so well
I chose this restaurant for delievery with no prior experience — and it left a powerful first impression.
I am looking forward to ordering more meals in the future.
These baby back ribs are an actual hidden gem in Chicago because they’re literal meat candy. First off, the chicken sandwiches and the fried chicken had a good crunch, the chicken was juicy, but it wasn’t unique enough for me to say I would order it again. I think they’d be a hit if it was tossed in some sauce or maybe a lemon pepper dry rub. Onto the reasons why I would come back, the fire cracker rib bites were delicious and the fries were crispy. The baby back ribs are absolutely killer here, I love the sweet and Smokey dynamic. For a side I recommend the cheesy potatoes which were solid, and the dessert here I suggest trying Peach Cobbler cheesecake. Staff are super friendly!
Absolutely powerhouse of a fried chicken sandwich, but don’t sleep on the sides either!
I got the original fried chicken sandwich and unlike other establishments it actually has lettuce, tomato, and pickle, with mayo as well. Bun was soft, chicken was juicy, and for such an easy concept it’s kind of a wonder so many places mess it up - but not North Branch.
The sauces were very good, the mustard was dark, vinegary, and very flavorful while the BBQ was more sweet than spicy it did hit the spot.
The slaw was very good, cold, creamy, and crunchy. The cheesy potatoes were also super good, they’re like steamed and the heat melts the cheese on top.
Very little wait time for me, like 6 minutes during lunch hour, which is fantastic.
Overall, I strongly recommend North Branch Fried Chicken!
The only thing good here was the coleslaw. The website says “fresh cut fries”, but they are definitely not. Tastes just like Wendy’s. The chicken is inedible. Super salty, breading is chewy. I have had better chicken in a frozen dinner.
Very impressed with this place! We ordered a two piece chicken meal with a side of cheesy potatoes and also a half slab of ribs. The chicken skin had a nice crunch and the meat was juicy and flavorful. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and had a good smoky flavor and the sauce was sweet yet savory.
I am also a lover of mustard bbq sauce and the mustard bbq sauce here is the best I've ever had. Can't wait to return to try the chicken sandwich and burger!
Update: Came back the next weekend and tried the Chicago Fried Chicken Sandwich and Chicken Tortilla Soup! 10/10 for both!
North Branch Fried Chicken is an absolute gem in our neighborhood! Best nachos around, an amazing cheeseburger and cheesy potatoes, and their chicken is to die for. We catered a family brunch from them today that included biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles, and potatoes O’Brien. All of it was absolutely delicious. So good we devoured it all and I forgot to take pictures! Visit this restaurant and help them gain more customers ❤️😊🍗🍔🧇🥇
